Idared is an apple developed right here in Idaho. It is an excellent choice for cooking, making pie, apple sauce, dessert, and cider due to its sweet-tart and juicy flavor. Medium to large in size. Green to yellow base color covered in bright red. Flesh is pale yellow color. Keeps well in storage for four months.

McIntosh is a medium sized, bright red to deep purple over green, with a dusty bluish bloom. Crisp but not hard white flesh with berry-like aroma and high juiciness. This variety is more red than the standard strain.
